How to learn guitar for beginners

I would like to introduce a new affiliate to martstervt.com. Guitar Tricks along with Jam Play are excellent online guitar learning programs. I have personally used both programs and have found them to be a great source of guitar learning and information.
They both have quality teachers and presentations.

How to learn guitar fast

Both of these sites are capable of getting you going fast. You will be able to say ”I am a Guitar player.” But they both offer a step by step program that will help you improve along the way. If you are an experienced or intermediate level player then can take it up a notch or learn new a new style.

Best Free online guitar lessons

Both Guitar Tricks and Jam Play offer free lessons as introductory or Email tips and lessons.
You will be able to pick and choose the teachers and programs you are interested in.
There are many benefits of signing up for free and when you are ready to take it up a notch it will be available. I have used both and probably will in the future as there is always more to learn.

Jam Play vs. Guitar Tricks

There are good things about each program. Guitar Tricks has shorter to the point lessons for beginners and Jam Play has a more in-depth program and it depends on the individual teacher as they have their own programs. They both offer a platform to learn pop tunes. Guitar Tricks is easier to understand and has more songs, all rated for difficulty. Jam Play has a broader and more extensive style itinerary such as reggae, and metal as well as blues, country, and jazz.
I have a review from Youtube that very adequately compares both programs so you can decide which if not both to try.

I love guitar music and for christmas my Aunty bought me an Acoustic Guitar. I’m a complete beginner but the guitar showed me in just a couple of hours I could play a short tune from a dvd my guitar came with. I love the way you can learn online with Jam Play &. Guitar Tricks. Though I wonder if I would get more out of it with 1 to 1 and hands on experience. I think I need to be more self disciplined to be self taught. Takes a lot of practice to train your fingers to use the guitar. I would probably try out Guitar Tricks first then move onto Jam Play as I grow and become better.

Hi Carol, Thank you for checking my page. Finger stretches and exercises are good to develop dexterity and muscle memory. One on one is a good way to take lessons but one advantage to online lessons is that you can stop the video and go over things till you get them right. You can also pick and choose what you want to learn and you have a choice of instructors. Guitar Tricks has over 400 pop songs you can learn and the number of stars indicates the difficulty. Jam Play also offers a song library. I have used both Guitar Tricks and Jam Play and the are both excellent. They also give great tips and videos for free by email.

Do you have an article or can you recommend a way around this. I find that my fingers just get too tingly then sore! But would love to learn and play the way I see my partner play 🙂

Hi Layne, thanks for visiting my guitar site. If you play a little every day you will get past the sore fingers in about a week. Another option would be a nylon string classical style guitar. 12 string guitars are also easier on finger pain as the pressure is spread out over a larger area of the finger. Pinching the finger tips gets blood into them and I have also heard of soaking them in salt water. I can’t vouch for the salt water and the best way is to play on a regular basis. take a break when it hurts and if your fingers are cramping stop. Any muscle pain and you should see a doctor. Thanks for bookmarking my website and I would be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
